Small Town with lots of culture

Lewisburg, WV is a small town with a population of around 4,000 people nestled into the rolling hills and valleys that the Greenbrier River runs through.  I ran into a couple the other day who stumbled upon our town by accident and were surprised at all the many things to do here.  Lewisburg is a historic town that has won acclaim as one of the best small-towns arts centers in America, and is home to many of the cultural exhibits and activities you would find in downtown Manhattan (with a lot less traffic).  For those of you with a taste for fine arts, you won't run out of things to do here among all the art galleries, antique stores, and specialty shops.   The music and drama afficionados will love spending time at the many events at Carnegie Hall, or one of the many plays at Greenbrier Valley Theatre, the state's only year round professional theatre.  These are one of the many reasons that the National Trust for Historic Preservation has named it one of its Dozen Distinctive Destinations along with our rich Civil War history.  Settlements in our area date back as early as 1751 when Andrew Lewis camped near Lewis Springs near the present day courthouse.  If you would like more information on West Virginia or Lewisburg, you can check out my website or contact me by email.
